Public Health Specialist

Job Description

Health Solutions Ltd. is looking for a motivated Public Health Specialist to assist in developing and implementing health interventions. This role requires assessing health needs and collaborating with various stakeholders to promote health equity and improve service delivery.

Responsibilities

• Research and address pressing public health issues affecting local communities.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to improve health outcomes.
• Participate in creating health awareness campaigns.
• Prepare population health assessments and program evaluations.
• Act as an advisor on public health matters to community leaders.
• Integrate community feedback into health programme planning.
• Develop grant applications and secure funding for health initiatives.
• Conduct health screenings and provide support for follow-up.
• Organize focus groups to gather community health information.
• Report on the impact of public health programmes to senior management.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Public Health or a related field
• Master's degree in Health Administration is advantageous

Experience

• 3-5 years in public health programme management

Certifications

• Certified in Health Education (CHES)

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Afrikaans: Conversational
