Job Description

We are in search of an enthusiastic IT Support Technician to join our Port Elizabeth office. Your primary responsibilities will involve supporting our clients' technology needs and ensuring seamless operation of IT systems. You will need to manage support tickets, troubleshoot issues effectively, and maintain strong client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Respond to support requests and troubleshoot IT challenges.
• Provide guidance to clients on hardware and software usage.
• Document and escalate unresolved issues to senior technicians.
• Install new software applications or upgrades.
• Support network configurations and connectivity issues.
• Assist with backups and data recovery processes.
• Contribute to the team's knowledge base with solutions.
• Participate in IT projects and technology rollouts.
• Monitor system health and status.
• Assist with inventory management of IT equipment.

Requirements

Education

• NQF Level 4 Certification in IT or related field

Experience

• 1+ years of experience in an IT support role

Technical Skills

• Windows OS
• Networking
• Hardware Troubleshooting

Soft Skills

Certifications

• CompTIA A+
• ITIL Foundation Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with Linux OS: Familiarity with Linux systems for troubleshooting and support.
• Cisco Networking: Knowledge of Cisco networking setups and configurations.
