Civil Engineer

Job Description

Looking for a dedicated Civil Engineer to support our engineering projects in Johannesburg. This role entails conducting site assessments, preparing reports, and managing project timelines. You will work closely with clients to understand their needs and provide innovative solutions for successful project delivery.

Responsibilities

• Lead civil engineering projects from concept through to completion.
• Coordinate with clients and stakeholders to ensure project alignment.
• Provide technical guidance and support to project teams.
• Analyze project performance and implement corrective actions as required.
• Prepare cost estimates and schedule timelines effectively.
• Monitor and report on project progress, while ensuring safety standards are upheld.
• Attend and present at project meetings, communicating updates and decisions.
• Investigate and resolve technical issues that arise during project execution.
• Prepare and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
• Remain current on engineering trends and advancements.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
• Project Management qualifications are preferable

Experience

• 4+ years of hands-on civil engineering experience

Technical Skills

• Civil Engineering Design Software
• Cost Estimation

Soft Skills

• Leadership
• Adaptability

Certifications

• Chartered Engineer (CEng)

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Zulu: Basic
