Job Description

As a Diesel Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing diesel engines in diverse applications, such as automotive and marine sectors. This role requires exceptional knowledge of diesel engine mechanics, alongside electrical systems and fuel systems.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair diesel engines and hydraulic systems.
  • Conduct regular maintenance checks on equipment.
  • Read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
  • Troubleshoot complex mechanical problems.
  • Communicate effectively with customers and colleagues.
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times.
  • Assist with training junior staff members.
  • Keep abreast of industry advancements and technologies.
  • Implement best practices for engine maintenance.
  • Manage spare parts inventory effectively.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
  • Trade certificate as a Diesel Mechanic
Experience
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in diesel engine maintenance and repair.
