We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dentist to join our dental team in Port Elizabeth. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing and treating patients, performing various dental procedures, and providing excellent patient care. Our ideal dentist is passionate about oral health, patient education and keeping up with the latest advancements in dentistry.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and provide treatment for dental issues including fillings, extractions, and root canals.
• Conduct regular check-ups and cleanings to maintain patient oral health.
• Educate patients about oral hygiene and disease prevention.
• Collaborate with dental hygienists and assistants to provide high-quality care.
• Maintain accurate patient records and treatment plans.
• Stay updated on industry developments and advancements in treatment and technology.
• Administer anesthesia and manage patient sedation.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS)
• Postgraduate diploma in Oral Surgery is beneficial

Experience

• 3-5 years of experience in a dental practice

Technical Skills

• Knowledge of dental software and tools
• Radiology skills

Soft Skills

• Empathy towards patients
• Strong organizational skills

Certifications

• Registered Dentists board member
• CPR certified

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Xhosa: Conversational

Advantageous

• Experience with practice management software: Proficient using dental practice management and scheduling systems.
• Public speaking skills: Ability to effectively communicate dental care information.
