Job Description

As an Alpine Guide, you will lead and support individuals and groups exploring the breathtaking mountain landscapes of South Africa. Your primary focus will be to ensure the safety, enjoyment, and educational experience of each participant while fostering a respect for the natural environment.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and lead alpine expeditions for diverse groups.
  • Provide expert guidance and instruction to clients, ensuring safety and enjoyment.
  • Maintain proficiency in assessing and mitigating risks during excursions.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant safety standards and regulations.
  • Communicate effectively with clients regarding their expectations and experiences.
  • Keep up-to-date records of all guided expeditions and incidents.
  • Conduct briefings and debriefs with clients to enhance their experience.
  • Participate in training and development sessions for skills enhancement.

Requirements

Education
  • Valid Mountain Guiding certification
  • Additional certifications in mountaineering and rock climbing are advantageous.
Experience
  • Experience in handling emergency situations in mountainous regions.
