Job Description

As a Veterinarian at Animal Care Associates, you will be an integral part of our team, ensuring the health and happiness of animals in our community. You will perform examinations, administer vaccinations, and offer preventive care to ensure animals live long, healthy lives.

Responsibilities

• Provide a high standard of care and treatment for animals.
• Routine check-ups and health assessments on various species.
• Interact compassionately with animals and their owners to build trust.
• Manage treatment plan adjustments based on patient response.
• Support the administrative team in managing patient appointments.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the clinic.
• Participate in research activities to help expand animal care knowledge.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Veterinary Medicine

Experience

• 5+ years of experience with exotic animals an advantage

Technical Skills

• Exotic Animal Care
• Anesthesia Management

Soft Skills

• Team Leadership
• Time Management

Certifications

• Animal Nutrition Certificate

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Zulu: Conversational

Advantageous

• Work experience in an emergency veterinary clinic.: Experience handling urgent and emergency cases.
• Skills in wildlife rehabilitation.: Understanding and applying wildlife care techniques.
