Job Description

As an Insurance Underwriter at our Durban office, you will play a crucial role in evaluating insurance requests, considering various factors to assess risks and make informed decisions. We are looking for a detail-oriented individual with a strong background in underwriting who can contribute to our commitment to excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Assess applications for life, health, auto, and property insurance.
• Utilize underwriting software to analyze risk assessment data.
• Work with claims adjusters to understand the implications of past claims.
• Communicate with clients to clarify information on applications.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and regulations.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Risk Management or related field
• Additional qualifications such as a diploma in Insurance is advantageous

Experience

• 3-5 years of experience in insurance or underwriting
