Job Description

We are seeking a talented Interior Designer to join our dynamic team in Cape Town. As an Interior Designer, you will be responsible for creating functional and aesthetically pleasing interiors for various types of spaces. You will collaborate with architects and clients to develop design concepts that meet project specifications and client needs.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with clients to understand their needs and preferences.
• Prepare and manage project budgets and timelines.
• Research and source materials and furnishings in line with design plans.
• Oversee the execution of design projects, ensuring quality and adherence to timelines.
• Stay current with trends in interior design and architecture.
• Communicate concepts visually through sketches and digital renderings.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Design or Architecture
• Master’s degree in Interior Design is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in interior design projects

Technical Skills

• 3D Studio Max
• Adobe Creative Suite

Soft Skills

• Time Management
• Negotiation Skills

Certifications

• Certified Interior Designer (CID)
• National Council for Interior Design Qualification (NCIDQ)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Familiarity with Building Codes and Regulations: Knowledge of local building codes and regulations.
• Experience in Historic Restoration Projects: Background in restoring and preserving historic buildings.
