Interior Designer

Job Description

We are seeking a talented Interior Designer to join our dynamic team in Cape Town. As an Interior Designer, you will be responsible for creating functional and aesthetically pleasing interiors for various types of spaces. You will collaborate with architects and clients to develop design concepts that meet project specifications and client needs.

Responsibilities

• Develop and present design concepts that meet client specifications.
• Select furniture, fixtures, and materials for each project.
• Create detailed drawings and specifications to guide construction.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure project success.
• Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor project progress.
• Provide exceptional client service from initial consultation to project completion.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Design or Architecture
• Master’s degree in Interior Design is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in interior design projects

Technical Skills

• 3D Studio Max
• Adobe Creative Suite

Soft Skills

• Time Management
• Negotiation Skills

Certifications

• Certified Interior Designer (CID)
• National Council for Interior Design Qualification (NCIDQ)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Knowledge of Sustainable Design Practices: Understanding of sustainable and eco-friendly design principles.
• Project Management Experience: Background in managing renovation and construction projects.
