Job Description

The Sterilization Specialist will be responsible for ensuring the safe and effective sterilization of equipment and instruments used in medical and healthcare settings. They will play a critical role in preventing infections and maintaining a sterile environment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all equipment is properly sterilized according to guidelines.
• Engage with healthcare teams to assess sterilization demands.
• Conduct routine checks of sterilization equipment.
• Assist in training new employees on sterilization protocols.
• Document results of sterilization cycles and ensure compliance.
• Implement best practices for infection control measures.
• Evaluate and report sterilization process efficiency.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Certification in Sterilization or related field preferred

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years experience in sterilization procedures

Certifications
