Job Description

We are in search of a talented Structural Engineer to join our Johannesburg team. The successful applicant will play a pivotal role in designing, analyzing, and providing solutions for structural projects, ensuring they meet safety and performance standards. You will collaborate with other engineering disciplines and stakeholders to guarantee project success and structural integrity.

Responsibilities

• Produce high-quality engineering plans and drawings.
• Lead structural design meetings and communicate effectively with clients and contractors.
• Research and incorporate new materials and techniques into designs.
• Analyze structural failures and recommend solutions.
• Ensure that all engineering work adheres to safety and quality standards.
• Contribute to sustainable design practices in engineering solutions.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
• Master's in Engineering Management is a plus

Experience

• 5+ years of experience managing construction projects

Technical Skills

• Structural Design Software
• Cost Estimation

Certifications

• LEED Accredited Professional

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience in project management: Ability to lead projects from conception to completion.
