Our growing team in Bloemfontein is seeking a compassionate Veterinary Surgeon to provide exceptional care to a diverse range of animals. You will be responsible for diagnosing, treating, and preventing animal diseases and injuries, while delivering a high standard of client service.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, treat, and manage various animal health issues.
• Conduct routine health checks and assess the condition of animals.
• Implement and supervise vaccination schedules.
• Perform laboratory tests and interpret results.
• Provide training and guidance to junior veterinary staff.
• Enhance client relations through effective communication.
• Engage with local organizations for animal health awareness.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Requirements

Education

• DVM (Doctor of Veterinary Medicine)
• Postgraduate qualifications in Small Animal Surgery preferable

Experience

• 5+ years experience in general veterinary practice

Technical Skills

• Anaesthesia Management
• Radiography Skills

Soft Skills

• Leadership Skills
• Time Management

Certifications

• Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT)

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Zulu: Conversational
