Job Description

Join our team in Cape Town as a Veterinary Surgeon where you'll utilize your expertise to care for animals comprehensively. Your duties will include diagnosing health issues, performing surgery, and collaborating with pet owners on health management plans. You'll become an integral part of a compassionate team focused on enhancing the health and wellbeing of pets in our community.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct physical examinations of animals and diagnose diseases.
  • Perform surgical and non-surgical treatments.
  • Assist in laboratory tests and diagnostics.
  • Educate pet owners on proper pet care and health maintenance.
  • Provide emergency care and triage as required.
  • Implement and follow up on treatment plans for animals.
  • Ensure clinic cleanliness and maintain overall equipment hygiene.
  • Mentor veterinary students during their practical rotations.
  • Participate in continuing education and training opportunities.
  • Assist in developing and implementing clinic policies.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Veterinary Medicine or related field
  • Additional specialization in surgery is preferred.
