Job Description

We are seeking a qualified Behavioural Health Therapist to join our team in Cape Town. The successful candidate will provide therapeutic interventions to diverse populations, developing and implementing tailored treatment plans that address various mental health issues. Your expertise will play a crucial role in fostering recovery and wellbeing for our clients.

Responsibilities

• Assess client psychological and emotional needs to determine therapeutic strategies.
• Create tailored treatment plans and monitor their effectiveness.
• Conduct individual and group therapy sessions focusing on healing and personal growth.
• Ensure all client records comply with relevant regulations and ethical standards.
• Work collaboratively with other healthcare providers and participate in case meetings.
• Utilize therapeutic modalities, including CBT and DBT, where applicable.
• Provide psychoeducation to clients and families about mental health.
• Implement culturally competent practices in all interactions.
• Stay informed about latest developments in mental health treatment.
• Participate in community outreach programs to promote mental health awareness.

Requirements

Education

• Master's or Doctorate in Clinical Psychology
• Registered with HPCSA as a Clinical Psychologist is preferred

Experience

• 3-5 years of experience in therapeutic environments

• Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
• Mental Health Assessment

Certifications

• Certification in Trauma-Informed Care

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Sepedi: Conversational
