Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our compassionate team in Port Elizabeth. As a key member of our healthcare staff, you will provide exceptional nursing care to patients of all ages. Your role will involve assessing patient needs, developing care plans, and collaborating with physicians and healthcare professionals to meet the best outcomes for our patients.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality nursing care to patients across all age groups.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Participate in developing and implementing patient care policies.
• Guide and mentor junior nursing staff and nursing students.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and uphold ethical standards.
• Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
• Participate in ongoing educational development and training.

Requirements

Education

• Diploma in Nursing or Equivalent
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing is preferred

Experience

• Experience in a hospital setting is advantageous

Technical Skills

• Medication Administration
• Emergency Response

Soft Skills

Certifications

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification
• First Aid Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Xhosa: Basic

Advantageous

• Wound Care Certification: Certification in wound care management is an advantage.
• Pediatric Nursing Experience: Experience working in pediatric nursing is beneficial.
