Event Coordinator

Job Description

As a Public Health Specialist, you will be responsible for developing and implementing programs to improve community health outcomes. The ideal candidate will have a passion for public health, experience in community engagement, and strong analytical skills to assess health needs.

Responsibilities

• Lead event site inspections and coordinate site layouts according to plans.
• Manage post-event evaluations and feedback collection from attendees and stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations during events.
• Assist in training and supervision of junior event staff and volunteers.
• Stay updated with industry trends to implement innovative ideas in event planning.
• Develop contingency plans to mitigate risks and ensure successful execution.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Public Relations, or related field
• Master's degree in Event Management is preferred

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in high-profile event coordination

• Project Management Tools

Certifications

• Certified Event Planner (CEP)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Fluency in Afrikaans: Ability to communicate effectively in Afrikaans is an advantage.
