Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Fish and Wildlife Biologist to join our team. This role will involve studying and managing diverse fish and wildlife populations, developing conservation strategies, and collaborating with various stakeholders to promote sustainable practices.

Responsibilities

  • Design and execute research projects focused on wildlife ecology and conservation.
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret ecological data related to fish and wildlife.
  • Prepare management plans for species at risk or under threat.
  • Coordinate with other conservation organizations to enhance collaborative efforts.
  • Participate in public outreach and fundraising activities to support conservation programs.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior staff and interns.
  • Develop and implement monitoring systems for species and habitat health.
  • Use advanced statistical software to process research data.
  • Document and report on fieldwork findings and conservation outcomes.
  • Represent the organization at conferences and public events.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Zoology, Ecology, or a related discipline
  • Master's preferred in a relevant field
