Responsibilities

• Prepare and file tax returns for individuals and businesses.
• Advise clients on tax strategies to minimize liabilities.
• Ensure compliance with local, provincial, and national tax laws.
• Analyze financial statements for relevant tax implications.
• Assist with tax audits and represent clients in tax matters.
• Keep up to date with changes in tax legislation.
• Provide training and education to clients regarding tax obligations.
• Collaborate with other financial professionals to optimize client outcomes.
• Conduct regular reviews of clients' financial activities.
• Prepare correspondence and required documentation for clients.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related discipline
• Master's degree or additional tax certifications are advantageous

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in a tax advisory role

Technical Skills

• Income tax strategies
• Corporate tax law

Certifications

• Completed Tax Compliance Certificate
• Advanced Taxation Diploma

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Sesotho: Conversational
