Physician Gynecologist

Job Description

As a Physician Gynecologist, you will play a critical role in providing comprehensive reproductive health services to female patients. Your expertise will help diagnose and treat various conditions, ensuring that patients receive the highest standard of care.

Responsibilities

• Administer reproductive health services and wellness exams for female patients.
• Perform pelvic examinations and pap smears with precision.
• Educate patients on matters of women's health, including birth control and menopause.
• Actively participate in departmental meetings to enhance service delivery.
• Lead initiatives to improve patient care and outcomes.
• Supervise and mentor junior medical staff and interns.
• Engage in community outreach programs to promote women's health awareness.
• Conduct clinical research and publish findings to improve gynecological practices.
• Provide aftercare and follow-up appointments to ensure patient recovery.
• Address and resolve patient concerns effectively and empathetically.

Requirements

Education

• Medical degree (MBChB or equivalent)
• Specialization in Obstetrics and Gynecology

Experience

• Minimum of 5 years experience as a Physician Gynecologist, preferably in both public and private sectors.

Technical Skills

• Expertise in laparoscopic surgery
• Familiarity with reproductive endocrinology

Soft Skills

• Analytical skills
• Team management

Certifications

• Registered with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA)
• Valid malpractice insurance

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Afrikaans: Conversational
