Policy Analyst

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Policy Analyst to contribute to our public administration initiatives in Durban. Candidates should be adept at synthesizing data to create actionable policies. Collaboration with various government departments and community stakeholders will be crucial to this role.

Responsibilities

• Research and analyze policies regarding economic development in local communities.
• Develop comprehensive policy briefs for departmental reviews.
• Engage with civil society organizations to gather public opinions.
• Evaluate policy implementation and propose corrective measures where necessary.
• Draft correspondence and reports for policy initiatives and updates.
• Assist in developing performance metrics for policy evaluation.
• Participate in inter-departmental meetings to discuss policy alignment.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Public Administration or Social Sciences
• Postgraduate qualification is an asset

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in government or public sector roles

Languages
