Nuclear Technician

Job Description

As a Nuclear Technician, you will play a pivotal role in the safe and efficient operation of our nuclear power plant. You will monitor systems, conduct routine maintenance, and ensure compliance with safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Control Room Operator in monitoring plant operations.
• Perform routine checks of instrumentation and controls to ensure accuracy.
• Respond to alarms and abnormal conditions promptly.
• Document maintenance and operational activities accurately and in a timely manner.
• Engage in safety drills and training exercises to enhance readiness.
• Establish strong relationships with other team members to foster communication and teamwork.

Requirements

Education

• Matric certificate or equivalent
• National Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical or Nuclear Engineering is preferred

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years experience in a related field, preferably in a nuclear power plant environment.

• SCADA systems

Certifications

• Valid Nuclear Auxiliary Operator certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
