Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our team in Johannesburg. In this role, you will assist pharmacists in dispensing medications, provide excellent customer service, and maintain accurate records. Your contribution is vital to ensuring safe and effective patient care in our growing pharmacy.

Responsibilities

• Dispense medications accurately and verify prescriptions.
• Maintain pharmacy records in accordance with regulations.
• Engage with patients to provide guidance on medication adherence.
• Assist in managing the pharmacy's inventory and stock levels.
• Support quality assurance initiatives within the pharmacy.
• Work on special projects aimed at improving pharmacy operations.
• Monitor medication expiration dates and handle returns.
• Act as a liaison between patients and healthcare providers.

Requirements

Education

• Matriculation or equivalent qualification
• Pharmacy Technician qualification or relevant degree

Experience

• 2+ years of experience in a pharmacy or healthcare environment

• Pharmaceutical Terminology
