Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Putty Mixer and Applier to join our production team in Durban. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring that putty is mixed and applied to various surfaces according to specifications, maintaining high standards of quality.

Responsibilities

• Mix various putty materials as per specification, ensuring consistency.
• Apply mixed putty to walls, ceilings, and other surfaces with precision.
• Monitor the quality of putty application and rectify any defects observed.
• Prepare surfaces adequately to ensure optimal adhesion.
• Follow all company health and safety regulations to ensure a safe work environment.
• Collaborate with colleagues to ensure production targets are met efficiently.
• Keep the workspace organized and free from hazards.
• Provide assistance in training new employees when required.

Requirements

Education

• Matric certificate
• Certification in construction materials preferred

Experience

• At least 2 years' proven experience in a manufacturing or construction environment

Technical Skills

• Putty application techniques
• Maintenance of equipment

Soft Skills

• Good communication
• Problem-solving

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience in quality control processes: An understanding of how to maintain high-quality standards in manufacturing.
• Knowledge of safety regulations in manufacturing: Awareness of health and safety practices in a production environment.
