Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Cardiologist to join our dynamic team in Durban. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in diagnosing and treating cardiovascular conditions, using both invasive and non-invasive techniques.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of patients with diverse cardiovascular conditions.
• Supervise cardiology fellows and residents in training.
• Coordinate with radiologists and pathologists for comprehensive care.
• Develop patient-centered protocols aimed at improving cardiovascular health.
• Contribute to public health initiatives addressing heart disease in the community.
• Conduct family counseling and support services for patients and caregivers.
• Ensure the highest standards of care in accordance with healthcare policies.
• Mentor early-career professionals in cardiology.

Requirements

Education

• Doctorate in Medicine or equivalent
• Board Certification in Cardiology is preferred

Experience

• At least 5-7 years of specialized experience in cardiology

Technical Skills

• Heart Failure Management
• Cardiac Rehabilitation

Soft Skills

• Patient Advocacy
• Problem Solving

Certifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Fellowship in Interventional Cardiology

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Afrikaans: Conversational

• Bilingual in English and Afrikaans: Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse patient base.
