Job Description

As a Drill Press Tender, you will be tasked with operating and maintaining drill presses to fabricate precision parts. This role is crucial in industries such as manufacturing, engineering, and metal fabrication, where attention to detail is paramount.

Responsibilities

• Calibrate and troubleshoot machine issues to ensure optimal operation.
• Keep equipment in good operating condition and report any malfunctions.
• Assist in training junior operators on machinery and safety protocols.
• Implement improvements in processes to enhance production efficiency.
• Conduct regular quality checks and document findings.
• Participate in team meetings to discuss production challenges and strategies.

Requirements

Education

• Technical diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• Certification in CNC machining is an advantage

Experience

• 2-3 years of experience in drilling and boring operations.

Technical Skills

• Knowledge of drilling techniques
• Proficiency in using hand tools

Soft Skills

• Team player
• Time management skills

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience in a quality control role: Familiarity with quality assurance protocols in a manufacturing environment.
• Forklift operator certification: Preferred for more efficient material handling.
