Systems Administrator

Job Description

We are seeking a proactive Systems Administrator to manage and maintain our IT infrastructure in Cape Town. The ideal candidate will have experience in system administration, with a focus on network configurations, user support, and server management.

Responsibilities

• Manage and monitor all installed systems and infrastructure.
• Install, configure, and maintain servers and network equipment.
• Provide support for IT staff and end-users.
• Ensure system security through access controls and encryption.
• Perform regular system upgrades and updates.
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues.
• Maintain and monitor backup operations and disaster recovery processes.
• Document system configurations and procedures.
• Work closely with other IT team members to enhance system functionality.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in IT or related field
• Master's degree is advantageous

Experience

• 5+ years of systems administration experience

Certifications

• Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)

Languages

• English: Fluent
