Job Description

As an Intellectual Property Attorney, you will be at the forefront of protecting creative works and innovations. Collaborate with our talented legal team in Johannesburg to enforce IP rights, provide counsel to clients, and navigate complex legal challenges.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive legal counsel on intellectual property issues, ensuring compliance with local and international laws.
• Assist in the prosecution of trademark and patent applications.
• Conduct due diligence for IP transactions and mergers.
• Develop and implement strategies for protecting trade secrets.
• Train and mentor junior attorneys and interns on IP law practices.
• Engage in IP policy advocacy and participate in relevant industry groups.
• Research and analyze intellectual property precedents and case law.

Requirements

Education

• LLB or equivalent legal qualification
• Postgraduate qualification in Intellectual Property Law advantageous

Experience

• 3-5 years of experience in intellectual property law

• Admitted Attorney in South Africa
