Job Description

We are seeking a Compliance Officer to join our team in East London. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing compliance with laws and regulations, as well as developing and implementing risk management strategies. This role is pivotal in safeguarding our organization from non-compliance and maintaining our reputation in the industry.

Responsibilities

• Conduct compliance assessments and audits to ensure adherence to laws.
• Develop compliance training materials and conduct staff training sessions.
• Provide advice on compliance-related issues and assist in internal investigations.
• Maintain relationships with external regulatory agencies.
• Conduct risk assessments and recommend improvements.
• Assist in managing compliance documentation and submissions.
• Coordinate compliance activities across departments to ensure alignment.
• Perform quality assurance checks on compliance processes.
• Participate in the development and execution of compliance improvement plans.
• Monitor emerging compliance issues and evaluate their impact on the organization.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Law, Business, or related field
• Compliance certification is a plus

• 3+ years of experience in compliance or regulatory affairs
