Scrap Hoist Operator

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Scrap Hoist Operator to join our team. The Scrap Hoist Operator will be responsible for operating hoisting equipment to lift and transport scrap materials within our facility. We require someone with a strong mechanical aptitude and a keen attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Control hoisting equipment to lift and shift scrap materials as per operational needs.
• Monitor loading and unloading processes to ensure safety and efficiency.
• Regularly check the functionality of hoisting equipment and carry out minor repairs if necessary.
• Collaborate with the operations team to optimize material handling processes.
• Document and report on hoisting activities and any incidents.
• Participate in safety training sessions and adhere to all safety standards.
• Assist in the training of new operators as required.
• Work in compliance with environmental and safety regulations.
• Ensure that all operations are cost-effective and efficient.
• Handle any emergency situations with professionalism and efficiency.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Additional training related to hoisting operations is desirable

Experience

• 2-4 years of experience as a Scrap Hoist Operator or similar role.

Languages
