Job Description

We are seeking a passionate Veterinary Technician to join our dedicated team in Cape Town. In this role, you will assist veterinarians in providing essential care to animals, conducting examinations, administering treatments, and ensuring a safe environment for all pets.

Responsibilities

• Conduct patient intake and assess vital signs.
• Set up and assist during surgical procedures.
• Educate clients on proper pet care and nutrition.
• Oversee the operation of medical equipment and instruments.
• Ensure compliance with all safety and health regulations.
• Assist with emergency cases as needed.
• Coordinate with other team members to ensure efficient operations.
• Keep abreast of changes in veterinary laws and regulations.
• Facilitate compassionate communication between pet owners and staff.
• Foster a positive team environment through collaboration and support.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Veterinary Science is an advantage

Experience

• 2+ years of hands-on experience in a veterinary clinic
