Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Veterinary Technician to join our team in Pretoria. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in the care and treatment of animals, assisting veterinarians in various procedures and ensuring high standards of patient care. You'll be responsible for handling animals, performing diagnostics, and providing excellent customer service to pet owners.

Responsibilities

• Support veterinarians in various medical and surgical procedures.
• Prepare and maintain surgical instruments and equipment.
• Conduct x-rays and assist in imaging procedures.
• Educate pet owners on preventive care and nutrition.
• Help with the set-up of treatment plans and monitoring progress.
• Assist in maintaining a clean and sanitary clinic environment.
• Evaluate the behaviour of animals and document findings.

Requirements

Education

• Diploma in Veterinary Nursing or related field
• Bachelor's degree in Animal Science is advantageous

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in a veterinary environment preferred
