We are seeking a dedicated Veterinary Surgeon to join our team in Pietermaritzburg. Responsibilities

  • Conduct health assessments and treatment plans for pets.

  • Manage acute and chronic health conditions in animals.
  • Guide and mentor junior veterinary staff.
  • Perform diagnostic tests and interpret results effectively.
  • Foster strong relationships with clients, ensuring excellent service.
  • Engage in continuing education and professional development activities.
  • Participate in community outreach and education events.
  • Assist in the management of the practice inventory and materials.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor of Veterinary Science (BVSc) or equivalent
  • A specialization in small animal surgery is preferred
Experience
  • 4+ years in a veterinary environment focusing on surgery and emergency care.
