Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Shoe Machine Operator and Tender to join our laboratory team. This role requires performing heel pricks on infants and young children with great care and precision. The ideal candidate will ensure proper specimen handling and adhere to all safety protocols, working closely with healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities

• Execute heel pricking tasks while minimizing discomfort for infants.
• Adhere to strict safety protocols and procedures.
• Organize and manage the documentation of specimens collected.
• Collaborate with the lab team to enhance operational efficiency.
• Support the training of new staff on heel pricking techniques.
• Participate in ongoing training sessions to improve skills and knowledge.
• Ensure that all equipment used is maintained and sterilized.

Requirements

Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent

Experience

• 1 year of experience in phlebotomy or a related healthcare field.

Advantageous
