Job Description

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Veterinarian to join our team at Awesome Vet Clinic in Port Elizabeth. In this role, you'll provide medical care, perform surgeries, and consult with pet owners to ensure the well-being of their animals.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine check-ups and preventative care for pets.
• Engage in continuous education to stay updated on veterinary practices.
• Collaborate with local shelters and rescue organizations.
• Oversee the implementation of health and safety protocols within the clinic.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Veterinary Science
• Registration as a Veterinary Specialist is a plus

Experience

• 3+ years of clinical veterinary experience preferred

Technical Skills

• Anesthesia management
• Preventative care

• Leadership
• Problem-solving

Certifications

• Emergency and Critical Care Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Xhosa: Basic

Advantageous

• Familiarity with alternative therapies: Experience in acupuncture or similar treatments is a plus.
• Skills in client education: Ability to provide guidance on nutrition and wellness programs.
