Penetration Tester

Job Description

We're on the lookout for a talented Penetration Tester in Cape Town to investigate and secure our systems. You will provide insight into our security posture while helping improve our response strategies. Your input will drive enhanced security protocols and practices.

Responsibilities

• Execute thorough penetration tests using automated tools and manual techniques.
• Document findings and communicate risk levels of identified vulnerabilities.
• Custom develop proof-of-concept exploits for significant vulnerabilities.
• Engage in security audits and product reviews.
• Collaborate in creating training materials to enhance general security awareness within the company.
• Maintain compliance with industry regulations and standards.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in a technology related field
• Master's degree in Cybersecurity is a plus

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in security assessments

Technical Skills

• OSSTMM
• Nmap
• Kali Linux

Soft Skills

• Problem-solving
• Team collaboration

Certifications

• OSCP (Offensive Security Certified Professional)
• ISO 27001 Lead Auditor

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with cloud security practices: Knowledge of securing cloud environments and services.
• Familiarity with DevSecOps practices: Understanding how security integrates within DevOps workflows.
