Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Chemical Engineer to join our Cape Town team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and developing chemical processes and leading projects aimed at improving production efficiency and safety.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of engineers in the design and implementation of chemical processes.
• Analyze process data and identify areas for improvement.
• Support product development by conducting research and testing.
• Inspect equipment to ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Prepare and present findings to senior management.
• Collaborate with regulatory bodies on compliance issues.
• Mentor and guide junior staff in engineering principles and practices.
• Manage budgets and project costs effectively.
• Engage with clients to ensure their chemical engineering needs are met.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or equivalent
• Master's degree in a related field is preferred

Experience

• 4+ years of experience in the chemical industry
