As a Customs Guard, you will uphold the integrity of our borders. Your role will involve monitoring and controlling the movement of goods and passengers, conducting thorough inspections, and enforcing customs laws to prevent illegal activities.
Responsibilities
Assist with managing the workflow of goods at ports of entry.
Perform thorough checks on travel documents and cargo declarations.
Investigate suspicious shipments and collaborate with authorities.
Maintain records of daily activities and report findings.
Implement updated customs procedures and best practices.
Support the customs team during high traffic periods.
Promote safety and security in the border control area.
Act as a liaison between customs and other law enforcement bodies.
Requirements
Education
Matric certificate or equivalent
Experience
2-5 years of relevant experience in customs or border control
