Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Legal Advisor to join our dedicated team in Johannesburg. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in providing legal advice and support across various sectors, demonstrating expertise in contract management, compliance, and litigation.

Responsibilities

• Consult with stakeholders to identify legal needs and requirements.
• Prepare legal opinions and formal advice for various business units.
• Work with external legal counsel when necessary.
• Ensure compliance with local and international laws.
• Manage the company's trademark and intellectual property portfolio.
• Assist in the development of policies and procedures.
• Stay updated on legal trends and changes in the law.

Requirements

Education

• LLB or equivalent degree in Law
• Postgraduate degree in Law is advantageous

Experience

• 7 years of experience in corporate law or a similar field

• Risk Management

Certifications

• Certified Compliance Professional (CCP)

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Zulu: Conversational
