Job Description

We are on the lookout for a passionate Veterinarian to join our dedicated team in Johannesburg. You'll be responsible for diagnosing and treating a variety of animals, providing excellent care and support to pet owners, and contributing to the overall success of our veterinary practice.

Responsibilities

• Assess animal health and create individualized treatment plans.
• Work collaboratively with the veterinary team to enhance patient outcomes.
• Manage pain and ensure proper post-operative care.
• Participate in ongoing education and professional development.
• Assist in emergency situations and provide urgent care.
• Promote responsible pet ownership and preventive health care.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Veterinary Medicine
• A Master's degree in Veterinary Science is preferred

Experience

• 3-7 years of experience in veterinary practice, including emergency care.

Technical Skills

• Veterinary Diagnostics
• Pharmacology

• Critical Thinking
• Customer Service

Certifications

• Council of Veterinary Surgeons Certification
• Certified Veterinarian Specialist (CVS)

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Zulu: Conversational

Advantageous

• Experience with exotic animals: Proficient in the care and treatment of exotic species.
• Familiarity with veterinary software: Experience in using veterinary practice management software.
