Job Description

We are looking for an experienced General Practitioner to provide exceptional medical care to the residents of Durban. As a key member of our team, you will assess and treat patients, making a positive difference in their health and wellbeing. Effective communication and a patient-centered approach are essential.

Responsibilities

  • Examine patients and assess their medical history and symptoms.
  • Formulate and implement personalized treatment plans.
  • Interpret diagnostic tests and laboratory results.
  • Counsel patients on lifestyle changes and wellness strategies.
  • Coordinate care with multidisciplinary medical teams.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of advances in medical science.
  • Contribute to the development of clinical guidelines.
  • Promote patient engagement and satisfaction.
  • Advise patients on nutrition, exercise, and health lifestyle choices.
  • Advocate for patient needs and ensure high standards of care.

Requirements

Education
  • MBChB or equivalent medical degree
  • Additional certification in Family Medicine preferred
Experience
  • At least 3-5 years of clinical experience in a primary care setting

Certifications
  • Registered with the HPCSA
