Job Description

We are seeking a passionate Area, Ethnic, and Cultural Studies Teacher to educate students on the diversity of ethnic cultures and their histories. The ideal candidate will foster an inclusive learning environment that promotes cultural understanding and awareness.

Responsibilities

  • Teach students about cultural diversity and respect for different ethnic origins.
  • Organize and participate in cultural events and activities.
  • Assess and report on students' progress and development.
  • Incorporate technology and multimedia resources in lesson plans.
  • Support initiatives that promote inclusivity within the school community.
  • Mentor students and provide guidance for personal growth.
  • Conduct research related to current ethnic studies.
  • Engage with parents and the community to promote educational partnerships.
  • Facilitate workshops and seminars on cultural competency.
  • Collaborate with local organizations for cultural enrichment.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Cultural Studies, or a related field
  • Teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE) is advantageous
Experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience in multicultural education
