Clinical Psychologist

Job Description

We are seeking a Clinical Psychologist to join our dedicated team in Johannesburg. In this role, you will work closely with clients to assess their mental health needs, deliver therapeutic interventions, and create individualized treatment plans. Your expertise will directly contribute to improving the emotional well-being of patients.

Responsibilities

• Lead therapy sessions promoting mental wellness and emotional health.
• Evaluate treatment effectiveness and modify strategies as required.
• Conduct research or participate in continuing education to stay current with best practices.
• Develop resources and educational materials for clients and their families.
• Assist in program development for therapeutic services offered by the practice.

Requirements

Education

• Master's or Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology

Experience

• Experience in a clinical setting is preferred

• Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
• Group Therapy Facilitation

Soft Skills

• Critical Thinking
• Time Management

Certifications

• HPCSA Certification
• Trauma-Informed Care Training

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Zulu: Basic

Advantageous

• Bilingual skills (English and Afrikaans): Ability to provide therapy in both English and Afrikaans is highly advantageous.
• Experience in multidisciplinary teams: Previous experience working with health professionals from different disciplines.
