Axle Polisher

Job Description

The Axle Polisher will be responsible for polishing and finishing axles to ensure they meet the required quality standards. Candidates must possess a keen eye for detail and be able to work both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Ensure polished axles meet quality standards before shipment.
• Utilise polishing tools and machinery efficiently.
• Detect and troubleshoot problems with polishing equipment.
• Keep work area organised and free from hazards.
• Engage proactively with supervisors and quality control inspectors.
• Document production metrics and report findings to management.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
• Contribute to team meetings with ideas for improvements.
• Assist with training new employees on polishing techniques.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma
• Formal qualifications in manufacturing processes are a plus

Experience

• 2-5 years of relevant experience in metal polishing or finishing

Technical Skills

• Knowledge of quality control processes
• Experience with forklifts or overhead cranes

Soft Skills

• Effective communication
• Adaptability

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with quality control procedures: Understanding of inspection and quality assurance processes.
• Technical knowledge of metalworking: Familiarity with various metal types and treatment methods.
