Job Description

We are currently seeking a Telecommunications Technician to join our dedicated team in Durban. The ideal candidate will have a robust understanding of telecom systems, network infrastructure, and maintenance practices. This role involves troubleshooting, installation, and repairs of telecommunications equipment, ensuring optimal system performance.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance on telecommunications systems.
• Implement network upgrades and expansions as directed.
• Troubleshoot connectivity issues and resolve them efficiently.
• Install cabling infrastructure for voice and data systems.
• Document and maintain service logs and reports.
• Assist in training junior technicians and staff.
• Perform quality checks on installations to ensure standards are met.
• Participate in team meetings to discuss project updates and issues.

Requirements

Education

• Diploma in Telecommunications or Electronics
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in telecommunications industry
