Job Description

We are on the lookout for a talented Mechanical Drafter to join our East London team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating detailed technical drawings and plans, ensuring accuracy and adherence to project specifications. This role is essential in supporting our engineering team and driving innovative solutions.

Responsibilities

• Utilize CAD software to produce precise engineering drawings.
• Incorporate feedback from engineers to enhance designs.
• Ensure drawings reflect the latest project requirements and standards.
• Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors as needed.
• Help develop and implement efficient drafting processes.
• Document and track changes to drawings throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements

Education

• National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• BTech in Mechanical Engineering is advantageous

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in a similar role

Technical Skills

• CAD Software
• Mechanical Design Principles

Soft Skills

• Problem-solving
• Team player

Languages

• English: Fluent
• isiXhosa: Basic
