Job Description

Join our Johannesburg team as a Software Tester / QA Engineer where you will leverage your skills in testing methodologies to ensure the highest quality of our software solutions. The role involves working closely with the development team, designing comprehensive test cases, and utilizing both manual and automated testing processes.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on requirements.
• Conduct performance testing and assess software scalability.
• Facilitate training for junior testers and improve their skills.
• Document testing processes to ensure compliance with industry standards.
• Report findings and provide suggestions for improvement.
• Work closely with the product team to ensure that requirements align with testing protocols.
• Monitor and report software quality metrics to senior management.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in software testing or QA engineering

Technical Skills

• Software Testing
• Automation Tools (e.g., Selenium, QTP)
• Programming (e.g., Java, Python)

Soft Skills

• Attention to Detail
• Communication

Certifications

• ISTQB Certified Tester

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with Agile methodologies: Familiarity with Agile software development practices.
• Experience with Performance Testing: Hands-on experience in performance/load testing to ensure system stability.
