Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Software Tester to join our dynamic team in Johannesburg. The ideal candidate will be responsible for executing test plans and ensuring software quality across various applications, using both manual and automated testing techniques. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the quality assurance process and improve product functionality.

Responsibilities

• Create test strategies that align with product goals.
• Perform exploratory testing to identify unexpected behaviors.
• Document test results and provide detailed feedback on software quality.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to improve overall quality.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and provide QA input to iterative developments.
• Conduct user acceptance testing in collaboration with stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with QA methodologies and best practices.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in a related field
• Master's degree in Quality Assurance or similar is advantageous

Experience

• 4+ years of experience in the software testing role

Technical Skills

• JIRA
• TestRail

Soft Skills

• Critical Thinking
• Team Work

Certifications

• Agile Certified Tester (ACT)
• ISTQB Certified Tester - Advanced Level

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Knowledge of API testing: Experience in testing RESTful and SOAP APIs.
• Experience in cross-browser testing: Ability to ensure application works across different browsers.
