Job Description

As a Public Health Officer, you will be at the forefront of community health efforts in Pretoria, working to enhance health policies, promote wellness, and prevent diseases. This role requires a steadfast commitment to public service and the ability to engage with various stakeholders to drive impactful health programs.

Responsibilities

  • Develop health promotion strategies and campaigns tailored to community needs.
  • Conduct educational workshops and seminars in various settings.
  • Work with local authorities to respond to public health emergencies.
  • Engage with stakeholders to foster partnerships for health initiatives.
  • Compile and present findings and recommendations to health boards.
  • Participate in training sessions to stay updated on public health best practices.
  • Evaluate ongoing health programs for effectiveness and areas of improvement.

Requirements

Education
  • Degree in Public Health, Health Sciences, or related field
  • Master's degree is highly preferred
Experience
  • 3-5 years of professional experience in a relevant public health role
