Job Description

We are seeking a motivated Legal Counsel to join our team in Cape Town. This role requires expertise in commercial law, contract negotiation, and regulatory compliance, helping the company navigate legal challenges effectively.

Responsibilities

• Advise on legal issues related to corporate governance and compliance.
• Review and interpret legislation, regulations, and legal guidelines.
• Facilitate training for staff on compliance and legal matters.
• Manage the legal documentation process and maintain proper records.
• Support M&A transactions by providing legal due diligence.
• Contribute to the development of company policies and guidelines.
• Assist in the management of intellectual property rights.
• Monitor industry trends and report potential risks.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Law from a recognized institution
• Specialization in Corporate Law is preferred

Experience

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a legal position with a focus on corporate law

Languages

• English: Fluent
• isiXhosa: Basic
