Accountant

Job Description

We are seeking a qualified Accountant to take charge of bookkeeping and accounting duties. The ideal candidate should possess deep knowledge of accounting regulations and practices to help our organisation stay profitable and efficient.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all bookkeeping activities and oversee the timely completion of month-end closing.
• Generate detailed bookings and invoices, handling accounts payable and receivable.
• Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard assets.
• Assist in preparing financial budgets and forecasts.
• Perform reconciliations of bank statements and company accounts.
• Stay up-to-date with changes in financial regulations and practices.
• Support the finance team in financial modeling and analysis.
• Prepare documentation for audits and liaise with regulatory bodies.
• Participate in financial projects that contribute to growth and efficiency.
• Train junior staff on financial reporting practices.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent
• Additional certifications such as CPA or ACCA are advantageous

Experience

• 3-5 years of accounting experience in a corporate setting

Technical Skills

• Budget Management
• SAP or Oracle

• Communication Skills
• Team Player

Certifications

• CCMA certified

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Familiarity with auditing standards: Knowledge of auditing processes and compliance requirements.
